A message from Steve Kirk-Smith called "Jesus, Higher than the Angels", based around Hebrews 1 and other Bible verses.

The author of Hebrews isn't named. They write to correct misunderstandings, and give warnings. The writer warned that followers of Jesus should not revert to their Jewish customs and laws, which they practised before they followed Jesus. The author also warned that angels are not to be worshipped - God is the only one to be worshipped, in His three forms - Father Son and Holy Spirit.

There are many different types of angels described in the Bible. Angels are messengers. They are created by, and working under God's rule. They are NOT human. When humans die, they do not, and never will become, angels.

When Jesus was facing His final hours, with the pain, suffering and humiliation, He could have called upon legions of angels to stop it. He didn't. He knew about His destiny from the beginning of time... but His love for every one of us meant that He went through with His pain and crucifixion. That's your Saviour!!
