A message from Steve Kirk-Smith called "Darkness Followed by Light", based around Psalm 22 and other Bible verses.

The Psalms vary greatly. They were written over a period of approx 900 years, and by several different authors. They are a collection of writings, which have been organised into 5 sections after they were written.

Psalm 22 starts with David's suffering, and ends with him praising God. From the opening lines, echoed by Jesus on the cross, through the description of pierced hands and feet in v16, there are several parallels with Jesus death and resurrection.

Jesus' Resurrection is the ultimate demonstration that death is defeated.
