A message from Steve Kirk-Smith called “Judas - Kissed the Door of Heaven; Yet Ended in Hell”, based around John 12:1-11 and other Bible verses.

There was nothing in Judas' appearance that marked him out for being the disciple who betrayed Jesus. He was part of Jesus' inner circle, and he was the one who looked after the Disciples' money, but he was taking money for himself on a regular basis. Only God truly knows our hearts, motives, minds and intentions. It doesn't matter how great we look, or how we behave; anyone can hide behind a facade that they put across to others.

God knows every man's heart. In Hebrews 4:12 we read: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

What seem as small, initial sins soon grow and let the devil take hold of your life. In Ephesians 4:26-27 it says: “Don't get so angry that you sin. Don't go to bed angry and don't give the devil a chance.”
