A message from Steve Kirk-Smith called “He’s Dead… He’s Alive! Hallelujah!”, based around John 20:1-18 and other Bible verses.

In John 20:9, the Disciples still hadn't understood that Jesus would die and rise again. Jesus had said that He would do so in John 2:19 NLT - “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Therefore, they were confused when His body was missing and the tomb was empty.

This is the start of the Good News of Jesus' Resurrection that spread around the world in the following centuries. Some Disciples believed because they had seen Jesus resurrected, but He says that blessed are those who believe have not seen Him, per John 20:29 NLT – ‘Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”’
